Btwwww i set up a dedicated valheim server on a computer that acts as a media server in my house. ✌ because playing solo all the time bums me out, but I don't like interacting with strangers online. and because I like to passively exist around others when I do play online (so I can snoop in people's houses or watch someone get overrun by a pile of skeletons) without the obligation to actually play at the same time. while having the option to play with my friends if I actually want to, you know?

be careful about resell scammers though! make sure you have proof of a ticket existing before buying one. that being said there are a LOT of phannies selling tickets rn so don't just assume everyone is a scammer either. also i know twitter is a hellscape but it's a really good place to find resale tickets, for example twitter user ticketsdan is retweeting a ton of both tickets for sale and people looking for specific tickets, so if you're really desperate for a specific kind you might as well turn on their notifs and hope for the best. the twickets app is also good, several people are already selling tickets on there and more will be eventually

not to pray on anyone's downfall but sometimes people aren't able to go to the show they wanna go to and you can get insanely good tickets like, the day before it's happening. you never know. keep looking!

This is all forgetting the fact that a single given chatbot ai on average uses more electricity in a day than your entire house. Chatgpt uses more electricity than several STATES.

And when people say "corporations are more responsible for environmental damage than the average consumer" it also doesn't mean you have free reign to deride an ai's energy consumption while also still using it. Chat bots are not a necessity.

It's literally fuckin everywhere too. Automated voice calls, customer services, web browser applications, p*rn bots, crypto mining, job offers, ticket sales. If it's taking that much electricity, it's taking that much in water resources as well.

It's taking jobs from writers, journalists, musicians, artists, graphic designers, clothing designers, video game producers, voice actors, actor-actors. And y'all just think it's good ol fashioned good times just because you're "talking" to a fuckin anime character. Get real, there's actual damage being done by your so-called "hobby".

The irreparable damage this is doing to human culture is insane too. People having actual emotional attachments to /robots/ like this is some sci-fy novel. People are literally giving NPC behavior. I cannot count the number of people over the last year we've blocked because we thought they were bots but they weren't?? I thought I was losing my mind. Not to mention that third places have been stolen from all of us and corporations are literally justifying how much better it is for everyone because no one has to interact with anyone ever? I know half these people are actually lazy and think the creative process is a fuckin chore, but some of these people are just so vehemently against the human experience that they don't even stop to think about what they're even arguing about. And don't get me started on the fuckin clowns over at NaNoWriMo who say if you're against Ai, you're ableist and probably racist too. Actual circus performances over here.

This is not the direction anyone wants ai to go in. And pretending that what you do is harmless is adding to the problems at hand. Okay, since I haven't seen many posts up yet about this, not that I blame anyone since others are probably at school and work rn, I want make a post summarizing what happened so far in the latest event on the JP server.

Also, I don't know how to speak or read Japanese nor do I have the JP version of the app, making me unable to verify this. Take this all with a huge mountain of salt.

Like I said in my other post, I'm calling him Honest Fellow, since that sounds less awkward and I think it'll be localized to that anyway.

JP Event Spoilers Below

The arc starts with Honest Fellow and Giddel selling the themepark to some faceless NPCs. After some convincing, they enter the park. Honest Fellow evil laughs.

We cut to a basketball game between RSA and NRC. NRC lose yet again. NRC fight amongst themselves, and the teachers break it up.

After the game, Floyd, Ace, Yuu and Grim, wallowing in their frustration at NRC's loss to RSA, decided to go Craneport to get some snacks. There they find Jade and Jack on the way.Jack was there to get some new threads while Jade was there by sheer coincidence.

Kalim and Ortho arrive. They were in a bookstore, because Kalim was searching for books concerning magic potions, since he's struggling with those and Sam's shop was closed. (I have no idea why Jamil wasn't there either, because him leaving Kalim unattended seems kinda ooc.)

Honest Fellow along with his brother swoop in, making their sales pitch. Grim wonders about what Playful Land is exactly. Ace explains that it's a mysterious amusement park that nobody knows where it is. Honest Fellow says that's correct.

Honest Fellow gives the group tickets to the park. When Kalim says they'll go the next weekend, Honest Fellow chimes in, saying, "Oh, no, no! You can only use it until tomorrow!" They both fuck off into the night.

When the group gets back, they tell Riddle and Jamil about the tickets. They're both like, "Hell no!" Riddle shoots it down because skipping classes is unforgivable. (Ace was originally gonna invite Deuce, but he tattled on him to Riddle, since he found the whole thing suspicious. Honestly, good on him.) Jamil finds it suspicious and puts his foot down, telling Kalim that he forbids him from ever going.

Jack tells Leona, who is all like, "Nah, this is kinda fishy." Jack decides that he has to go because he promised Honest Fellow he would, and he doesn't want to break it.

Floyd tells Azul. He says, "Nope, I'm not coming. It's sus, and I don't wanna owe anybody anything!" They tweels laugh, saying that they want to check it out BECAUSE it's shady.

Ortho tells his brother. He shoots it down, since he doesn't like crowds. Ortho then confides in Vil thanks to them being in the same club.

Early the morning, before the sun rises, the group gathers to sneak to the harbour in town. Kalim managed to get the rest of the Light Music Club to come along, because they saw just how sad Kalim seemed and decided to tag along to comfort him. Vil was convinced to come along by Ortho. One, he wants to see what's the big deal about this park. Two, he's also suspicious, and, as a dorm leader, he wants to oversee all of his juniors and make sure they're all okay. Trey followed after Ace because Deuce asked him for his help and had the feeling that Ace would be stubborn enough to rebel and sneak out even though Riddle said no. Leona followed after Jack because he felt like he had to be the responsible one for once and was genuinely concerned about Jack's well being.

Honest Fellow arrives. He is just so dramatic. Half of them go, "Fucking really? Why did any of our juniors trust this guy? He's as sus as a FNAF animatronic!" (Not in those words, obliviously, but along that same idea.)

Honest Fellow shows them around the park. Which looks like this...

The park is more like those travelling summer fairs where it goes from town to town instead of staying in one place like Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm or any of the Disney Parks. The boys can kick back and indulge in their darkest desires.

The third years still feel that this whole thing is kinda sus. Since Grim and some of the others head straight to the entry gate, they reluctantly go along with it to watch over their juniors. Grim face plants into the gate, because he didn't show a ticket. Ace shows his ticket. Ace, Grim and Yuu's clothes get magically altered to resemble the ones on the card. The same thing happened to everyone else.

After everyone's gotten inside the amusement park, we have a foreboding speech from Honest Fellow and Giddel about how the young generation are easily skeptical, but can still be fooled by the promises of a fun play park. Honest Fellow mentions how he and Giddel should accommodate their visitors… for it will be the "last'' fun memory that they'd have. Cue End of Part 1.

Some other minor side things...

It's confirmed. Honest Fellow and Giddel are brothers.

Honest Fellow is a mage, but is less magically inclined compared to the NRC boys. Giddel is a non-mage.

Lulu, aka the same person from my Discord server, suspects the themepark itself might be a magic tool of some kind. Considering how it operated in the movie and novel along with fan theories about them, I'm inclined to believe them.

We also finally got a description of what Yuu is actually wearing during this event. (Honestly, it's about fucking time. Because one gripe I always had with these events is that we never get even a small description of what Yuu is wearing, which makes it harder to imagine what's going on in my head.) Basically, they are wearing the same style jacket as Leona, but with the same colours as Lilia's costume. Do with that information as you will Malleus/Yuu shippers.

Honest Fellow has a Honest John pendant on his hat.

More of a personal gripe, but I'm not sure what to make of Honest Fellow as a character yet. Right now, he seems like the mastermind behind this whole operation, but that doesn't make sense. In the movie, Honest John wasn't on board with the Pleasure Island shit, and only went along with it thanks to the Coachman threatening him and Gideon's lives. Wouldn't it be far more fitting for him to be a lacky of another villain and being forced to go along with it out of fear of having the same thing happen to him and his brother? And if that was the case, that would also better align him thematically with Ortho, who's brother is the same way towards him. But I'm reserving my judgements on his character until the event is over.

Playful Land gives me major Joy Joy Land vibes.

I find the idea of Leona, Trey and Vil going there, because they are worried about their juniors adorable. They are really tapping into their big brother instincts, even if I doubt Vil and Leona would ever admit it out loud.

Though, one plot hole with this whole thing is why didn't Jamil, Trey and Deuce rip up the tickets if they were that concerned about the others going to the park? Granted, the tickets could be enchanted so that they're impossible to destroy, but I never heard if that's the case yet. Idk, it's a nitpick, but it's still something that annoys me a bit as a writer myself.

I strongly recommend it a lot !!!! I VIOLENTLY RECOMMEND IT !!! However, before you DO buy the game and replace your mind with Slugcat, lemme give you a quick run without trying to spoil the game. I do need to say these because sometimes, people get the wrong idea about Rain World. And it's not their fault! The GAME is just,,, hehehe.

So!

• Rain World is NOT an adventure game. It's an ecosystem simulator, with platforming. You'll understand what I mean when I say it's not an adventure game. :3

• Rain World is a DIFFICULT game. The game barely holds your hand, barely tells you what to do and there isn't a single reward in the game that halps you. Nearly nothing is directly said besides basic stuff. Not to menton there is only few entities that has dialogue. You are just an wild animal in the woods. No one is here to help and it's all up to you to figure out things and adapt to survive. Because it's an ecosystem simulator, there will be times where some situations will be legit unfair for you. This is intended. Rain World is an unfair game because your enemies / predators are just like you and have no respects. They will always try their best to kill you, unfair or not. They dont care! And this is where your adaptation and outsmarting skills will improve. Rain World has no reward. It only rewards you by making you smarter, as you die and die.

• So! Game tells you nothing. Everything kills you. You have no idea what to do. The game and its ecosystem does not care about you.

These lack of player focus and unfair situations can become very unpleasant to new players. Because Rain World really is not like other games! It's an harsh ecosystem simulator. When you play Rain World blindly for a while; you may get demotivated to continue because of having no idea where to go and what to do while being killed over and over again. Don't worry! This is LITERALLY the game itself. You are MEANT to be confused and lost. However, as you play, you will start to understand things slowly :)

And once you figure out stuff, I can not tell you how amazing it feels LMAO. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT YOURSELF.

Rain World is an UNFORFIVING game. It's hard. It's complex. But my god, IT IS THE MOIST FUN AND AWESOME AND INSANE GAME I HAVE EEVVEERR FUCKING PLAYED IN MY LIFE. I HAE 100+ HOURS AND I KEEP GOING. I WILL NEVER BE TIRED FROM THIS GAME. THERE IS ALWAYS MORE STUFF TO FIGURE OUT. ALWAYS TO MAKE FUN SPEEDRUNS.

• By it's nature, Rain World is randomised! Every entity in the game has their own AI and behaviour. This makes the game so fucking amazing ant it makes the ecosystem VERY alive. Everything you see in the game, besides obvious scenes, is NOT scripted! You will see some creatures fall to their death, fail to fly, bonk their heads, kill each other and stuff! NOTHING is scripted! All creatures act as a real entity by their AI! This makes some unpredictable events that becomes frustrating but also so so SO fun hehe :)

Honestly I could write a book about Rain World. But that's all I can say now :) hope this motivates ya! The game is also on sale rn I think. Perfect time hehehe.

Even if it becomes too hard for you, don't worry! The experience is so worth it. Also I promise, you WILL understand everything by yourself,,, and be BETTER. I also shall mention that it's a LOONGGG game! Even LONGER when you get the Downporur DLC ! (INSANELY RECIMMENDED.)

what advice/tips do you have for someone getting into the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games? they’re on sale rn and I’ve been very interested in them

=D Oh, gladly.

First, you'll want to save early and save often. In addition to being pretty hard, these games are very broken and you'll get game-breaking bugs from walking into areas in the wrong order. Become best friends with the quicksave button and remember to drop regular hard saves.

I recommend starting with Shadow of Chernobyl not just because it's the first one but also b/c it's the most basic and lacks a lot of the quality of life and game economy features from the other games, which can be p. frustrating when you've gotten used to Uncle Yar repairing all your shit for you.

In Shadow of Chernobyl, save all the 9x39 ammo you can find (and remember to betray Skull to Freedom) until you're allowed inside the Duty command headquarters. Go around to the right away from Voronen's bunker and talk to the Duty trader, and he'll give you the quest to assassinate Twig at the Freedom base. You can kill Twig without getting in trouble with exploding barrels if you're patient, but also he stands close enough to the exit that sometimes killing him doesn't count as murder so you can try dropping a save and just shooting him. The trader will reward you with a 9x39 sniper rifle, which is my favorite gun in the game and makes everything much less scary. They'll also spawn in stashes sometimes, I think with one guaranteed one in the train tunnel north of the Freedom base.

Speaking of stashes, try to clear them out as ASAP as possible once they show up on your map or they'll overwrite each other and you'll miss stuff. Early game stashes can be kinda worthless but they'll become a good source of artifacts, guns, and armor, including . . . ah, but I've said too much.

These games are decently challenging on easy mode and the higher difficulty levels can get downright brutal, so save often and be ready to die a lot. Also, they are very scary! There are ghoulies and ghosties and anomalies and diabolical beafts and it's all so deliciously spooky and atmospheric. You will magdump into random shadows while making undignified noises in real life. You will start checking for bloodsuckers under the bed. It's awesome.

Clear Sky is my favorite of the original 3, though they're all very good. I've been living under a rock for about a year now so I don't know anything about STALKER 2 yet.

hey do you have shmup reccs from the steam sale going on rn? after getting finalburn neo and a selection of older shmups (namely DoDonPachi and Dimahoo, which i love) ive been on a shmup kick

My two most major recommendations are always ZeroRanger and Hellsinker.

ZeroRanger is very fun and has a surprisingly interesting story that pulls some unusual twists that will keep you hooked beyond the excellent gameplay, art, and music.

Hellsinker is not a "normal" shmup. It's cryptic and obtuse in both mechanics and presentation, with a much wider variety of methods of attack than your average shooter. But if you're willing to stick with it and learn its language, it's one of the best shmups - nay, best indie games ever created. Don't be afraid to read the manual, play the tutorial, and look up a tutorial for the tutorial (because even it can be a bit tough to figure out, lol).

Other recommendations include Devil Blade Reboot, RefRain - prism memories -, ESCHATOS Wonder Pack, and Like Dreamer (mind the suggestive art on that last one). Also Mecha Ritz: Steel Rondo, but that's not on sale...

ii. ethel cain, "preacher's daughter" — again i'm LATE to this one, but as far as concept albums go, this is. the peak. like just. screaming crying throwing up, even. i made a powerpoint presentation abt this just so i could share its story with a friend. iv. metteson, "look to a star" — actual album of the year for me. saw him live this spring and he was so so sweet (was manning his own merch booth afterwards and complimented my make up <3 also signed my vinyl) ANYWAY insane voice? like simply unbelievably beautiful. and this is just the debut album??? future records might simply eviscerate me i'm afraid. faves are second heart (!!!), naturally (but nothing comes natural to me / nothing comes naturally...... augh) and heavier than a heart

v. pet shop boys, "nonetheless" — breaking news my favourite old gay men are still releasing bops and bangers and heartbreaking melodies. this released close-ish to my birthday so i've claimed it as a birthday present. what more can i say, they're my favourite band of all time <3 faves rn: new london boy (skinheads will mock you, call you a fag / last laugh is yours, there's a brick in your bag!!) and bullet for narcissus

vi. orville peck, "stampede: vol. 1" — i adore this cowboy beyond measure. as i think i said in a different post, i don't usually care for features and duets, but this does indeed fucking slap. insane vocals as per usual. love the concept. can't wait for vol 2, and also, mr. peck PLEASE come to europe. faves: miénteme and cowboys are frequently secretly fond of each other <3

vii. sea power, "disco elysium" — this is FINALLY on spotify!!! the game of all time, and the soundtrack is equally heartbreaking and hardcore (to the mega). i was going Through It at some point this spring and replayed DE and then just listened to burn baby burn outside whilst smoking. european depression core. faves rn: burn baby burn, saint-brune 1147 (small pinewood church) and precinct 41 major crime unit

viii. jan valta + adam sporka, "kingdom come: deliverance (OST)" — finally bought this recently when it was on sale and my god i'm so glad i did. an immensely entertaining game that you can tell was made with much love. henry of skalitz my SON. been listening to the soundtrack on/off, currently absolutely obsessed with the song poverty and famine (and särmä if you're reading i think you might vibe with this one?)

ix. alkemie, "pentiment (original soundtrack)" — rounding up with another video game soundtrack because i'll simply never get over pentiment. stole my heart in a major way. this soundtrack is STUNNING. can't do it justice with words. my faves rn: sic arsit historia kiersis and rüdeger's rehearsal

You've got brainrot over Constantin d'Orsay and De Sardet. Would you mind sharing why you love them? Is this a ship we should be getting into too?

Oh my god dear anon thank you for this ask 😭😭🙏 I am literally dying to talk about them rn lolol and I fully get that this isn't easy to do with a rarepair in such a small fandom but YES thank you for indulging me haha

So for starters, let me just talk about how I got into Greedfall: I was looking for a new game and my friend Baejax recommended this one as being somewhat similar to Dragon Age, and it was also on sale so I was like why not! And starting off it really gave me that old school DA vibe which I LOVE (but with better graphics) so I've really enjoyed playing so far. Like, in my head it's sort of a crossover between DA2 and maybe the Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb, which I get might be kind of obscure references but it felt very familiar for me right off the bat so that was a huge plus haha.

Now as for the characters: De Sardet is the main character, and they're customisable so you can make them look however you want. Constantin is De Sardet's cousin (but they're not blood related afaik) he's the son of the Prince of Serene (i.e. the person who governs Serene) and is sent by his father to New Serene to rule over the new colony there. De Sardet is a diplomat and also Constantin's right hand man as Constantin tries to sort of wrangle things into order there and keep good relations with their neighbouring nations.

I'm still very much at the beginning of the game but it was love at first sight tbh 😭😭 Constantin is such a messy, beautiful disaster and even before he appeared on the screen I was like "oh boy.... he better not be cute bc we'll have a problem" and then he appeared and he WAS cute and so lovable but also relatable and I just can't 😭😭 and it's so so obvious what a soft spot he has for De Sardet (and vice-versa), like even though I haven't seen too many interactions between them so far in the game it's clear how much they both care about the other and are concerned about the other's wellbeing, the voice actors have done a phenomenal job at this btw. We know that they've grown up together and were tutored together; Constantin is the brilliant, flamboyant one while De Sardet is the more quiet and sensible one (it's an RPG so you can sort of play your character differently, but as a diplomat he generally tends to be, well, diplomatic lol and not react in extreme ways so the game hasn't really given me many opportunities to fly off the handle); they have a very close bond and are always very happy to see the other, and De Sardet has been running himself rugged to assist Constantin with anything he needs. They literally hit all of my buttons LMAO I couldn't not ship them together they're perfect 😭🙏

As for whether ppl should be getting into them, I really can't say. I know that other pairings in the game are more popular than this one, and also since I'm still at the beginning of the game I don't even know how things will turn out between them or if anything terrible will happen (though I have some suspicions and they are NOT good.....) But I do think that ppl are generally sleeping on this game and this pairing in particular and I think they both have a lot of potential.

I used to have a Twitter (key word: 'used to'), but due to some...circumstances, it is now deactivated. I won't say who I was, but I came across your thread of how Genshin didn't hit the same anymore. I won't give you my life story here, but honestly, I feel the same way. I came for the exploration and story, and well, given how everything is going down, and how it is being handled, I too, feel the same way as you. Whoever was in charge of it just...stopped caring, got laid off, or changed the projectory of the game.

I got into Nikke myself, and sure, it's a degenerate gacha, but it's kind of refreshing to have a skip button and characters being showcased regularly (repeat and new).

I don't know where I am going with this, or if I you will even see/read this, but I just wanted to just...thank you. For voicing your opinions, and being yourself. All the best with FGO. I myself quit Genshin a week before I deactivated my Twitter (when games become a chore that take up half of your storage, why keep it, you know). So I feel that feeling you do. Although we might be different people, and your outlook might have changed now, but to me, the game is a steaming mess, having crashed down from its grace in the starry sky above. After all, shooting stars have to land somewhere, right?

Now that I'm pretty sure you finished ISAT based in the massive increase of reblogs, how important is SASASAAP? If at all? That's basically what's been stopping me from playing either. Trying to decide if spending time and money on the prologue matters.

Hmm, it's... Well. Honestly it rounds out the experience and I'm glad I played it first, but in all my scouring of other people's blogs for cool art and discussion I've seen a lot of people complete isat and enjoy it as a full experience without having played the prologue!

I don't wanna say too much in case you've managed to avoid spoilers, but the prologue's relation to the main game is... Unique. It doesn't really provide context in the way that you'd go into isat confused or feeling like you're missing anything, it just kinda... Helps some things click into place later? Both experiencing the prologue first and NOT experiencing the prologue first would both lead to cool and interesting ways to experience isat I think! It's also something that I think would make total sense to play afterwards instead, as if it was a prequel. Tbh the only main argument I'd have for playing the prologue first is that it's slightly less polished, so playing it last would feel a little like a downgrade.

Both are also on sale for the next couple of days!!!! The prologue especially is dirt cheap rn

Two dollars?? Whoa. I'll keep an eye out for a sale. Based on screenshots, it seems like P1 has more dialogue and more opportunities to get to know the characters better? I love the P2 art style so much though so it might be hard to get used to the original. I know some people have the opposite problem and are unhappy with some of the redesigns.

We like the same aspects of yandere <3 Oh I need to rant for a second. There's nothing wrong with legitimately enjoying the violence and kidnapping aspects, but I do feel like there's sometimes too much emphasis on making sure readers don't think you're (general "you") romanticizing yanderes. Like intellectually I know it's unhealthy you don't have to tell me every other sentence that this is wrong and bad and that the reader insert isn't supposed to like it! 🤧 ... Ngl I love willing!reader 🫣🫣 Anyway. Rant over :)

In addition to what you said, I think Maria would be prone to jealousy too but unlike Katerina, would feel more of a sense of entitlement and is more prone to lashing out at others and at you occasionally. Katerina is more likely to internalize perceived rejection and be self-destructive about it. They'd both want to dress you up and do your makeup (even if you don't normally wear any) like a doll >:)

Lara and Peter might be the clingy/obsessive type, would latch on to the idea of you as a lifeline to pull them out of their despair. Lara would try to prove herself to you through acts of service; you'd be the inspiration for Peter's art and he'd give you little gifts all the time.

Victor would be overprotective, treating you like glass and like you've said before, wanting you to feel you can come to him, only, with your troubles. Would also randomly ignore you occasionally lol :( He can't help it he's too lost in thought! Big Vlad would spoil the ever loving fuck out of you *and* intimidate everyone else away.

Btw. I read your Andrey x reader hcs last night and they were really good! I don't really feel anything for this guy but it seems like you've got his personality just right :) I've never wanted piercings in my life, why is that part speaking to me 😭 (ok, that's a lie, I did want snakebites when I was seventeen :o)) I liked the little bit about sketching diagrams afterwards, too. I want to let you know that this concept lived in my head rent-free for the past week. Each time I came to answer this ask, I'd get distracted by the brief yandere drabbles you wrote and get lost in the fantasy. Especially the overprotective Victor one, it's my favourite. Oh god, you're a genius. Tell me more I beg!

And yes P1 had a lot more dialogue which is nice because it explains the story a lot more. Especially characters like Aglaya who get a lot of backstory and other things revealed about them. It's a game that does the best it could with the very very limited technology it had at the time, and despite the graphics it's beautiful in some areas.

The music is its crowning gem however! P1 soundtrack literally blows P2 soundtrack out of the water. It's like the devs know the graphic and everything is lacking in P1 so they more than made up for it with fire music that gets you in a trance of how amazing it sounds.

I think the major flaws are how the charactersation and story is slightly different. Some characters like Victor and Aglaya remain the same but other characters like Alexander Saburov are massively different. Also as a majority everyone is more of an asshole in P1, especially Artemy and Daniil at times.

Eva and Andrey are more slutty... do with that what you will.

Yulia in P1 feels like a younger Yulia who's still lost and figuring out life. Like a freshly out of college Yulia. While in P2 she's more of a jaded full grown up who knows how the world works but is displeased by it. I love both versions <3 She is one of the very polite characters in P1... which are surprisingly sparce. P1 is also more funny and silly with the dialogue, it's more whimsical with more realistic options too. Also you get a lot of opportunities to break the 4th wall while in P2 you can only do it while talking with the rat prophet, the replacement Artemy and endgame Mark.

And I agree with you about the yandere thoughts. The horror ones are fun but sometimes I want romanticised obsession and devotion yk? Like a yandere ready to move the earth and bring down the moon for their beloved. Where the conflict is more focused on the emotions and intenal turmoil rather than the murder or horror aspect. Even when it comes to the reader, I enjoy a little toxic reader too 👀 Like someone who encourages their yandere behaviour or doesn't mind it, someone who is okay with the obsession or someone who actively goes out of their way to make it worse. A reader who's a full fledged character rather than a damsel in distress, someone who takes actions and can effect the world around them.

But don't get me wrong! I do like a damsel in distress... as a kink. It's kinda hot to be a useless fawned upon princess that everyone is looking to save and please.

Yeah, I feel you so much on the "Don't have to tell me this is wrong every sentence." Like, oh my god, dude! I hate when stories treat the reader like they're an idiot. You have to have faith in them, especially when your content is marked for adults that they will be able to read between the lines. Like you don't see murder or serial killer stories saying how this is wrong every sentence?? Yandere is just a mix of horror, romance, and smut! It's just an archetype with interesting concepts and maybe even a fetish.

Why do people have to psychoanalyse every kink someone has??

I'll get back to the other characters in a bit, let's focus on the overprotective Victor for example! bc the brainrot is real i legit haven't stopped thinking about him for one second.

In one of his dialogue trees he has this line:

5.Victor Kain: ...If I'd learned about this earlier, I would have torn his head off already. Now give me thirty-five seconds of silence, please. I need to think.

It's when you inform him about the chemist who's helping people hide their dead. The same one who buys body parts from Artemy, he apparently also works for tha kains but manages to hide his shady businesses right under their nose.

And his reaction is just odjwofjwofkwk So Delicious? Like that chemist posed a real threat to tramble down on the fragile castle the Kain built with their reputation, start a domino effect which exposes them as law breakers for the townfolks which they absolutely cannot have.

You see him angry, even if it's just a small glimpse. He could've worded it more elegantly, used so many different expressions. But no, Victor chose the phrase "tear his head off"

THE FERALITY! THE POTENTIAL MY GOD. This man is so good at making himself a safe and trustworthy pragmatic person so much you forget there's a wide awake tiger with deadly focus behind those melancholic eyes, weighting your every word and soaking in all the information you unawarly expose to him. Memorising all the names you mention, drawing a map in his brain of your social circle and connections. Saying so little himself just to get you to keep talking and telling him more and more until a secret or two spill out without you realising it.

The way he's briefly quiet before snapping, composing himself, and holding back the flood of rage in his brain from bubbling to the surface. "I would've torn his head off" only scratches the surface of what he really wanted to do and say.

Even this simple sentence from someone usually so polite and level-headed paints a gruesome picture of a predetor's sharp teeth tearing apart a person's brain, completely dislocating the head from the shoulders and tearing the skin off with one bite. The crunching of the skull as it caves under the pressure of the tiger's jaw.

AND THEN YOU COME INTO MY HOUSE AND TELL ME HE IS AN OVERPROTECTIVE YANDERE!! I love you so much.

All that anger directed towards anyone who wishes you harm. It's like you struck a match inside him and now he simply cannot help but watch out for your well being from behind the curtains.

His obsession stems from thinking of you as... lesser to put it kindly. Of course you will never be aware of this condescension nor how he views you as a fragile thing unfit for the real world, a glass figurine that needs to be handled with delicate gloves so you won't crack.

Non the wiser, you think he's just a really good listener. So when he invites you over for tea, you oblige and just spill your heart out to him. Telling him how your week went, talking about the boring details and your hobbies, mentioning the mundane things like your trip to the grocery store.

And he never interrupts, at first you thought it was a little creepy how he'd have you over just to listen to you talk. Only answering with questions and dismissing any questions directed towards him ir his well being, saying he'd rather know about you more.

But with time you warmed him to him, I mean it is Victor Kain? He has never done harm to anyone has he? Sure the Kains have some screws loose but Victor always seemed the calmest one amidst his eccentric family.

You think that maybe he is just lonely and needs company or a friend! He's definitely awkward when it comes to normal conversation, so you're understandable when all he wants to talk about is you.

As far as you're concerned, that's as deep as youre surface relationship goes. It starts with afternoon tea and ands just after the sun sets down when he walks you home, ever the old school gentleman. Strange tho, he never walks anyone else home and lets Maria run loose at any hour of the night. But you've never given it much thought.

You poor sweet thing, so unaware of the monster you're feeding. The obsession you're helping nurture whenever you oblige to his request or head his advice. The rush of satisfaction that runs through his veins when you come running to him to vent after a particularly hard day, the addicting euphoria flooding his system when you thank him for listening, saying how he's the only person you trust with these embarrassing things.

Victor who's pulling strings when you're not looking. Taking over your life and holding power over every aspect of it so he can fine tune it, surgically decide every small detail like he's tinkering with the delicate inner-machinery of a clock.

Making sure he is your sole support system. Coincidentally, the friends you make are offered jobs back at the Capital and have to move away. The grocery near your house relocates, and the closest one is right next to the Kain's resident.

Whichever job you held is deemed too dangerous for someone as helpless as you and he takes it upon himself to talk to someone who talks to someone else who persuades the owner into getting you fired or at least you're out of business if it's privately owned. No one wants your services, they all deeply admire the Kains and would run to please him at the drop of a hat.

No one but Victor who so kindly extends a helping hand. If you refuse chairty money then he immediately suggest working for him instead, he needs a helper you see. No matter what excuse or response you have prepared, he has already accounted for all of them and has a convincing counter-argument.

You don't have to know that in reality, he just thinks the world is too dangerous for you to freely roam and get a job. If you want to play pretend as boss and employee then he will indulge your childish antics and offer you a job, either way the end is the same with you slowly migrating more and more under his wing and care.

Stripped of your income, support system and any opportunity for growth. Once Victor has you in his claws, he will make sure you never slip through his fingers.

Tbf he is content with you just being around, as long as you're safe and sound under his watch he will even if you just see him as a friend and nothing more.

Because while helping you is enthralling, not knowing where you are is the worst withdrawal he has ever experienced. And that man lived at the Capital before, do not let his grown up facade tirck you, he's probably even tried coke and all drugs under the sun at some point in his youth out of sheer boredom or curiosity.

It ircks him thinking you're vulnerable and bare outside for anyone to grab, it makes his brain ache to see you in a situation outside of his own control. He needs you to live in a world of his own making for all of eternity or he feels like ripping his hair out.

Zero expectations are set upon you to do anything. He isn't looking for a slave or a housewife, he just wants to be reassured no harm will ever befall you and keeping you under his watchfull gaze is the best solution he could come up with.

So what if you're basically a glorified pet? You still have your freedom... although limited. You can pursue your hobbies, indulge in his money and even befriend his two kids if you feel like it.

If you get really desperate for company other than his own and the Kains, then maybe he will think about letting you socialise with the other utopians every now and them. The mostly do not pose any dangers but some of them (caught Andrey, Eva and Vlad the Younger) Do really test his patience and boil his blood with jealousy from the shameless sexua advances and romantic propositions they throw your way as if he wasn't in the room.

Still, the utopians are your toys to play with until you're content. Didn't you ask for friends?

But he'd be lying if he said he wasn't thinking of more... forgive his brain, humans are inherently flawed and he cannot help but think of you in rather scandalous ways at times. Animalistic desires of lust and love rearing its head. Whenever you lean too close to him, pat your beautiful eyelashes or call his name out with a faux whine.

He's more than open to a seemingly "normal" relationship with you. As long as you get used to his busy schedule and periods of ignoring the world around him while in deep thought. He lives in his own brain most of the time and you rarely if ever guess what's going on in his life at any give day.

He remains an enigma while settling for nothing less than your whole heart laid bare before him on a silver tray. Proding at the fragile organ, never causing it any harm as he caresses it with gentle fingers. Feigning ignorance of the way his mouth waters, salvia dripping down the sharp fangs.

But again, he's down to compromise. You can only go places if he's by your side, even his own brother, the judge, he doesn't trust to accompany you alone.

God that was a fucking treat to write and think about. Talking with you is always so fun, I can just let go and say everything on my mind. When writing fanfics or sharing my thoughts to others I always trim the edges and make sure I'm not repeating myself yk? I have to put in effort to make my thoughts presentable and tied nicely with a bow, compress it down to bite sizes.

He'd also fall on the overprotective category but not possessive controlling like Victor Kain. No, He'd want you to genuinely be happy.

Spoils you rotten, without decorum or an excuse. Literally buys you anything and everything, even the things you don't ask for he will get you just because he thought you might like them.

The softest thing with you despite how harsh and uncaring he is with others.

Don't get him wrong. He is still a ruthless businessman with shady and amoral practices, he simply does not care. The only things worth it in this life are the people you love, and he loves his family the most.

Including you! Surprise! He starts considering you part of his family. His love is definitely not just platonic however but he does hold the most shame when it comes to getting together with someone after his dead wife yk?

Especially if you're younger, oh my god he lacks morals yes but this is just humiliating. He gets over it easily.

If you want someone who is extremely self-aware and the guilt of lusting after a young adult really eats him up to the core, then look at none other than Alexander Saburov. Not only is his wife still alive so triple the shame and guilt, but also you're a 20/30 something cutie and he well past middle age. He is getting his ass beaten by his conscience inside his own mind and having a moral crisis.

Anyway, back to Big Vlad. I think he'd try to make you get with his son as a way to coerce you into joining the family, especially if you say he is too old for you.

Try saying Victor Kain is too old for you and that old man 404 errors on the spot then quickly recovers pulls up the shady "well the passage of time is subjective and age does not define a human's mind as long as they are a sound adult" argument. I don't think he himself remembers the fact he is almost 60. Age and time is just a suggestion to the Kains.

However Big Vlad would never pull the "becoming your boss" move ever. He wants you to see him as someone close and in an intimate light, that move will just ruin everything he has built. If he wants to throw money your way then he will shamelessly do it without tact and no one can stop him.

You do get your own worms bodyguards and nice herb brides who watch over you courtesy to him however.

Alexander might be the biggest simp in yanderes but he will hesitate before doing something which conflicts with his convictions.

Big Vlad however, will not.

Your suggestions are heard and the changes you demand in his treatment of the kin are immediately obeyed. He tries his best to please you and make you happy, you literally have this man wrapped around your pinky.

A single kiss would have his brain haywire, all it takes is a pat of your pretty eyelashes and a cute pout and all the complaints fizzle from his brain. You immediately win the argument by default.

While sex is good and all, I feel like he is more of a romantic at heart. Genuinely a big doofus in love and would melt over something as simple as hand holding or having you sleep against his chest. He lives for the early morning breakfast where your eyebrows are scrunched from being so sleepy, as you walk over and sink into his arms.

If Victor Kain treats you like a glorified pet and Alexander Saburov like the temptation & sin incarnate then Big Vlad treats you like royalty, a literal prince/princess fallen into his lap and he's the king who will ensure you have the most pampered and spoiled life ever.

You're not helpless in Big Vlad's eyes, he doesn't infantilise you like Victor Kain does. If anything you're the most capable and talented person in the entire world, which is why you deserve everything good and sweet in it.

I have so many more ideas and concepts! I love your idea of Maria and Katerina treating the reader like a doll and dressing you up then making out with you- Like you're just a beautiful thing to them to cuddle with as they fall asleep and string along on dates.

Yandere Maria wouldn't care what you have to say, she never begs or asks, she just takes. The day she decides you are here doll, everyone acknowledges that you are off limits because who in their right mind would oppose Maria??

And while Katerina doesn't hold much power, her husband is the leading authority over the town criminal and justice system. He is also the biggest simp to her and is 100% okay with being a cuck if it means his wife is happy.

If having you as her precious doll to dress up, smooch, and play with will put a stop to her morphine addiction, then he'd step over his own morals and look the other way.

YANDERE ASPITY MY LOVE. She has potential! I adore non-humans obsessing over a human. You're not like other humans, you're full of surprises and she wants to test and study you more. You make her see worth in her life and the world beyond the earth and why she was born.
